At Qashio, we had a challenge:
How do we get in front of more people without spending big on ads?
That’s how the #QashioWasHere campaign started. It’s a bit of guerrilla marketing meets product storytelling.
We took the Qashio card to places where UAE businesses spend every day:
📍 Typing and visa centres
📍 Petrol stations
📍 Printing shops
Then we took a photo with the Qashio card with the business and uploaded the image directly onto Google Maps. The idea being, once someone googles that business, they will see a Qasiho card.
Simple, organic brand placement and embedded advertising. No big ad budget or deep pockets required.
We were using contextual visibility. We weren’t just placing our brand anywhere, we placed it where the spend begins.
What Happened Next
Over 15,000 people saw the card. But more importantly, they saw a new way to handle spending.
That’s the power of spend-triggered awareness. You don’t need a big banner. Just show up at the right moment.
